Portland College have received an extremely kind donation of four Android tablets to be used across college. Mr and Mrs Stewart’s daughter Sophie is a second year learner at the college and as a thank you for the support the college and it’s staff have provided the family throughout the pandemic, the couple have donated two tablets. Sophie’s nana has also shown her thanks, by donating another two tablets!
Mr & Mrs Stewart said; “Sophie is a totally different person to what she was before her time at Portland, she now has confidence in her own abilities. She basically enjoys life now!”
Sophie herself has played a big part in the donation too, as the family’s online shopper she used her skills to place the tablet orders herself!
Trevor Edwards, IT Manager at Portland said; “I’m overwhelmed with this donation, it is such a lovely thing for the family to do. The tablets will be used in our new Maples assisted living bungalow project and it will give us a great opportunity to test how a different operating system will work within our business!”
