Positive Behaviour Support Coordinator

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Positive Behaviour Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team here at Portland College.

The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and time management skills and will have experience in supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs within a specialist educational environment.

The Positive Behaviour Support Coordinator will be the main response for behavioural incidents, and will play an integral role in the writing of incident reports and learner reflections. The role will also involve attending external assessments and carrying out observations of learners with identified behavioural concerns.

To thrive in this role, you will be an outstanding communicator, with patience, empathy and a positive attitude. You will model good practice when supporting our learners in challenging situations, and you will be a strong team player, providing support and working closely with the Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader.

You will be committed to supporting the diverse needs of our learners and embedding the Positive Behaviour Support model across the organisation. You will be passionate about working with our team to foster a positive and inclusive environment for all.

Qualifications needed

Essential

  • Have or be willing to work towards Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 or GCSE Grade C (4) in an agreed timeframe.

Desirable

  • Be willing to be an internal trainer in Positive Behaviour Support/NAPPI UK training

Working Hours

  • 5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with some flexibility required.
