Thank you for taking the time to find out about our fantastic Independent Living programme.
Available to people aged 16 – 65, this programme allows you to follow your own bespoke programme to ensure you are supported to achieve your individual goals towards independence.
Based on the Portland College campus, our purpose-built flats and dedicated team will help you settle in straight away.

What is Independent Living?
Based in Rowan Place on the Portland College campus, the Independent Living programme supports citizens to increase their skills in all aspects of daily living. The programme is completely bespoke and tailored to and individual’s needs.
The aim of the programme is to provide people with the skills and confidence to transition into living independently or in supported accommodation after Portland.
The service is available to those 16+ living with a disability or have social care needs within a number of categories.
Ryan is a resident on the Independent Living programme. He was recently a residential Further Education learner.
